New Sofa... Old Sofa

I told my mum I have been toying with the idea of keeping the old sofa @ ben's place.
Bad idea.
My mum is never a vintage person and the look on her face when I told her the idea:
"Are u OUT OF YOUR MIND!? "

But why not?
People pay big bucks buying vintage/retro sofa nowadays and I have one sitting right in the living room.

With a fresh coat of paint and new cushion covers!
Maybe.. Just maybe I will be able to do these.

What's for dinner?

Pan-fried Chicken with Stir-fried Greens

I bought chicken legs from Cold Storage caused it's on discount.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to look for the discount poultry coz those will be aleast 30% off the usual price.
It's taste equally good but it must be cook within the day.

Anyway I got some garlic, carrots, broccoli & mushrooms.
Oh and this!

I have been wanting to try this.
Good stuff.

Next I will try the Hollandaise Sauce to make Egg Benedict.

Back to the Pan-fried chicken.
Since I only have salt, pepper and cooking oil in the kitchen, I need to improvise on the marination.
What did I used?

The seasoning powder from instant noodles.
1 packet of seasoning is good for 2 big pieces of chicken.
Add a little pepper and keep in the fridge for half an hr.

Then pan-fried it.

Next for the green. Just dice everything up and chop up some garlic.
Heat the oil and add in the garlic.

Add the carrots and broccoli first since those need a longer time to cook.
Then the mushroom, of course.

Lastly heat up the sauce in the microwave for 40 sec.

Taa Daa.
Dinner for 2 under $12

Do you know?

A fart contains poop component.

So if u are in the bus/train and someone farted...
You are actually smelling his/her shit.

My mum read this ad on paper and decided we give it a try before the movie since it's all located in Ang Mo Kio.
Btw this was published on a HK website and magazine.

Food for 4 including a soup & salad cost us $47.00
Reasonable price.

For those who love foie gras, it is available as an appetiser for only $18.00

Anyway this is what we ordered:
- Mushroom Soup
- Grilled Chicken Salad
- Chicken Cordon Bleu
- Marinara Seafood Spaghetti
- Brown Sauce Pork Chop
- Salmon Fish Fillet

The soup is great! (sorry no photo)
There are small bits of mushrooms and it's not overly creamy.


$3.90 for a chicken salad has quite a generous portion of grilled chicken.. so is the thousand Island Sauce... It seems they are trying to drown every bit of the lettuces in the sauce.


My mum's order. They seriously need to work on the presentation. haha. But the pork chop are surprisingly tender and well-marinaded. All for only $7.90


Here's baby's order. Salmon Fish Fillet. Not only it look great, it taste as yummy. The salmon is moist and well cooked. It taste even better with the cream sauce.
$10.90 (Personally i think it's quite reasonable for salmon)


For those who have no idea what a cordon blue is.. it's layering of fillet (either pork or chicken) with ham and cheese and deep fry it.

This is only so-so cause the whole dish is shockingly bland. Even the sweet mayo didn't help much.

Costing $12.90, everyone agreed this dish is not worth ordering.


Lastly, it will my order.
I decided to stick to the norm Marinara Seafood Spaghetti.
$8.90

I only have one bite and that's it.
Why?

Cause it's a FREAKING MUTTON TOMATOES SAUCE.
WTF!?

Who the hell put mutton in a Marinara Seafood Spaghetti!!!???

They do.

I hate it....

For those like me who don't like mutton @ all.
This is a MUST NOT order

Overall, the food is not bad & price is slightly cheaper compare to Aston as well.
The only draw back is that you need to travel out of the way to get there.

Question of the day

The 1st photo of Dawn Yang who seem to be in a sexy super low cut top.
Which explain why it's showing her black bra.

But on the next photo, it don't seem to be the case.

It seem that she "accidentally" exposed her little sexy bra by sliding the V-neck to the side.

I know Sex Sells.
I just don't know it's the same in the Blogging World.

It's sad to know a pretty little thing like her needs to do all these just to get more readership.
